ABOUT US
The West Coast Gun Club (WCGC) is a nonprofit organization founded by active duty service members within the Naval Special Warfare Sniper community on the West Coast. Established to support the professional and personal growth of NSW snipers, our organization aims to foster a tight-knit community dedicated to excellence.
Our organization recognized the need for a platform where NSW snipers could connect, share ideas, and access opportunities off work, which directly enhances their performance at work. Through effective communication and networking, we strive to disseminate valuable information and equipment across our organization to give our operators more time on the gun, outside of work.
We understand the rigorous work-up and deployment schedule that limits NSW Snipers on valuable training opportunities. Our organization is set in place to bridge the gap and provide operators the ability to train outside of work with proper resources, equipment, and funding to do so. One of our core beliefs is the value of competition. Members of WCGC have experienced firsthand how competing in the private sector can directly translate skills to their professional roles. To promote this, we host two annual West Coast Gun Club events exclusively for NSW Snipers, providing a platform for them to compete, push their limits, and grow as shooters.
We also encourage our members to participate in public competitions to broaden their exposure and skill set. As a whole this elevates time on the gun and valuable repetition needed to be more efficient. With the support of our sponsors, we offer financial assistance to our operators so they can go compete at Precision Rifle and Sniper competitions, all while being financially covered by our organization.
Recognizing that precision shooting is only one aspect of their job, we also prioritize the mental and physical well-being of our operators. The West Coast Gun Club provides support for recovery, aiming to give our operators the chance to reset after long work-ups or deployments. This is done by our guided hunts and outdoor overnights where operators can take a step back from the fast pace life style that they're job requires.
